BADIL’s fundraising campaign: Raise Palestinian Refugees’ Voices and Rights

Available in | English French | Italian | German | Spanish

“Raise Palestinian Refugees’ Voices and Rights” campaign aims to challenge the strategy of the Israeli regime and its colonial allies to eliminate Palestinian refugees, their voices and rights and the international protection they are titled to. To challenge this policy and practice, BADIL insists on producing its core periodic publication: the Survey of Palestinian Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). This campaign will rely on donations from researchers, scholars, academic institutions and every person that values the production of authentic knowledge about the ongoing largest and longest-standing refugee issue in the world.

The goal is to raise 45,000 USD (35,000 £) which will cover the costs of desk and field research, updating statistics, translation into Arabic, printing, and disseminating and promoting the Survey widely.

About BADIL

BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights is an independent Palestinian human rights organization founded in 1998. Committed to justice and human rights, BADIL works to defend and uphold the rights of Palestinian refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), regardless of their location or the timing of their displacement.

At the heart of our work is evidence-based research. Through in-depth historical, political, and legal analysis, BADIL exposes Israeli colonial-apartheid policies and provides a comprehensive understanding of Palestinian displacement. Based on this research, BADIL provides rights-based solutions that addresses the root causes and centers the fulfilment of the Palestinian people’s rights. Our work serves as a reliable resource for researchers, academics, and universities.

Our foundational research drives all our efforts in community mobilization and international advocacy. While community mobilization aims to raise awareness among Palestinian and other Arab audiences about Palestinian rights, particularly those of refugees, international advocacy seeks to mobilize the solidarity movement and pressure governments and global institutions to uphold the rights of Palestinian refugees.

BADIL has held consultative status with the United Nations since 2006 and is an active member of numerous international human rights networks.

About the Survey:

The Survey on Palestinian Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) regularly provides the most comprehensive and detailed information on Palestinian refugees and IDPs, including those who remain unregistered, no matter where they are in the world. It offers an in-depth analysis of the Palestinian refugee question, that includes historical background, demographic and socio-economic profiles, the ongoing protection gap and highlights recent political developments affecting Palestinian refugees and their rights.

Utilizing a multi-method research approach—combining desk research, field studies, and strategic partnerships—it ensures a rich and accurate representation of the realities. A key component of the survey is an in-depth opinion poll conducted by dedicated field researchers focusing on Palestinian refugee and IDP youth, capturing their voices, experiences and insights. Building on the foundation of previous surveys, this study covers the period from 2022 to 2025 and will be implemented with your support between September 2025 and June 2026, delivering critical data to inform policies and advocacy efforts.
