BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights announces the public release of its new short documentary film, The Five-Hour Journey.
Through checkpoints, roadblocks, iron gates, and enforced detours, Palestinians navigate the network of the Israeli closure regime, exposing a system of fragmentation, isolation, and enclavement. Through one five-hour journey, the film reveals the daily reality of life under an ever-tightening regime of spatial apartheid.
The Five-Hour Journey is now publicly available on BADIL's Vimeo page alongside other short BADIL films. These resources are available to support film screenings, educational initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and public engagement aimed at deepening understanding of the Israeli regime's crimes and the lived realities of the Palestinian people.
BADIL extends its deepest gratitude to our partner organizations across Europe, including Belgium and Poland, for organizing screenings of The Five-Hour Journey as well as other BADIL short films, followed by discussions and briefings on BADIL's latest working paper, “The Israeli Apartheid Spatial Regime: Fragmentation and Enclavement of Palestine.” These events also provided a platform for interventions by members of BADIL's Palestinian Youth Forum, whose contributions deepened the conversations and strengthened international engagement with Palestine.
