BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights has released a new brochure, “Understanding the Chain of States’ Complicity in the Israeli Genocide.”  The brochure compresses the evidence and arguments from BADIL’s detailed research, “Colonial States’ Complicity in Gaza: Arming and Shielding Genocide” into an accessible format for activists, civil society, and solidarity networks to use in direct action, advocacy, and campaigning.

The brochure demonstrates how western, colonial states—particularly the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany—have enabled the Israeli regime’s genocide on Gaza since October 2023 with their military and politicial complicity.

This chain of complicity has directly contributed to genocide, systematic forced displacement, starvation, mass killings, and the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza. In the case of the United States, its level of support amounts to co-perpetration.

A Tool for Action

The Complicity Brochure is intended to be a practical resource for organization, mobilization and action. With governments unwilling to act, pressure must come from the ground. Resistance combined with the escalation of the solidarity movements’ strategic and effective actions that disrupt the status quo are the only way to end the genocide, dismantle the Israeli colonial-apartheid regime, and hold complicit states accountable.
