Union of Women Activities Centres-West Bank (UWAC):

The UWAC was formed in the spring of 1998 by the previously UNRWA operated Women Centers in the West Bank refugee camps. The establishment of the Union was a step in the Women Center's struggle for survival at a time when UNRWA stopped its financial support for center operation and activities. The UWAC conducts educational and income-generating projects for refugee women in centers located in the West Bank refugee camps, and is headed by preparatory committee.
