BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights held an intensive training session for members of the Palestinian Youth Forum on 30 and 31 July 2026, as part of the ongoing training program aimed at developing member’s skills and enhancing their knowledge.
The session opened with a review on the latest developments related to initiatives being implemented by Forum members. The initiatives were organized into working groups focusing on implementing a community initiative during the Olive-harvest season, documenting the conditions of Palestinian youth in Palestinian refugee camps in Palestine and the exile, and conducting workshops to enhance awareness and knowledge among younger generations. The groups discussed the progress of their initiatives and the challenges they had encountered during the preceding period.
On the skills-development side, participants presented individual presentations addressing political, social, and economic issues. Each participant linked the issue they selected to a personal experience, in an effort to develop presentation and public-speaking skills and strengthen their ability to draw on personal experiences when addressing broader public issues.
Participants also took part in a training session on personal experiences and real-life stories, which focused on how to connect personal experiences and stories and use personal storytelling as a tool for communication and impact.
The program concluded with a discussion session on BADIL’s recently published position paper, “The Palestine Solidarity Movement in Europe: State Complicity and Lessons for Transnational Mobilization”. PYF members discussed the paper’s key ideas and findings, relating them to the current context and exploring how they could inform ongoing efforts to advocate for and build solidarity with the Palestinian people.
It is worth noting that the Palestinian Youth Forum is an independent youth platform with 31 members, supervised by BADIL. The forum seeks to utilize the skills and knowledge acquired by participants in the Al Awda Training Schools and transform them into targeted national community initiatives and events to strengthen the Palestinian people's resistance and raise awareness of the policies of the Israeli colonial-apartheid regime.
