BADIL – Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights and the Palestinian Youth Forum (PYF) conducted an intensive training workshop for members from June 26-28, 2026, in Bethlehem, with the participation of 21 members (10 females, 11 males), as part of efforts to enhance knowledge and develop practical skills.

The workshop included a series of political, cultural, and skills-based workshops over three consecutive days. The program opened with a lecture addressing the current situation in light of political and field developments and the challenges they pose to the Palestinian people.

Members of the Forum who had recently implemented a speaking tour in South Africa shared their experience, highlighting the most important meetings they held, the lessons learned, the personal impact, and the similarities between the South African experience and the struggle of Palestinian people.

Moreover, the program also included a workshop on Israeli spatial apartheid, which discussed the policies of fragmentation and isolation imposed by the Israeli regime on the Palestinian land.

A session was dedicated to discussing the article "The Crisis of Representation in the Palestinian Context," during which participants addressed the most prominent issues raised in the article. This was followed by a session on Palestinian identity, which discussed the evolution of the concept of Palestinian identity and the challenges it faces.

On the skills level, a training session entitled "An Idea in Three Minutes" was conducted, during which forum members presented political, social, and cultural ideas, with a focus on presentation, persuasion, and communication skills.

The program also included a field trip to the village of Artas, during which participants learned about the village's history, cultural and national heritage, and the importance of preserving the Palestinian narrative and memory.

As part of the forum's ongoing work, a session was dedicated to reviewing the PYF’s community initiatives and finalizing implementation plans by discussing work mechanisms, assigning roles, and establishing a timeline for implementation. The meeting concluded with a session dedicated to discussing the forum's work plan for the next phase.

It is worth noting that the Palestinian Youth Forum is an independent youth platform with 31 members, supervised by BADIL. The forum seeks to utilize the skills and knowledge acquired by participants in the Al Awda Training Schools and transform them into targeted national community initiatives and events to strengthen the Palestinian people's resistance and raise awareness of the policies of the Israeli colonial-apartheid regime.
