(Bethlehem, 16 April 2026)
BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights announces the public release of our films A Depopulated Camp and Tala – A Palm Tree from Gaza. The films are also available with subtitles in French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
These films provide insight to the challenges and realities on the ground in Palestine, resulting from ongoing Israeli crimes: forced displacement and transfer, colonization, apartheid and genocide.
A Depopulated Camp traces the enduring realities of Palestinian displacement from Tulkarem refugee camp, documenting how spaces once full of life are systematically emptied of people while memory, resistance, and the right of return persist across generations.
Tala - A Palm Tree from Gaza bears witness to genocide and ongoing displacement in Gaza, revealing how generation refuse erasure – where countless Talas endure, dream, and insist on a future still to come.
These films are now available for public use on our Vimeo page and can support film screenings, educational initiatives, and advocacy campaigns aimed at deepening public understanding of the crimes of the Israeli regime and engagement with Palestine and its people.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our partner organizations across the United States, Scotland, Italy, Poland, Ireland, Germany, and France. Your solidarity in hosting screenings has been vital to this work – ensuring these stories are carried beyond borders and brought powerfully to audiences around the world.
We are also excited to share that we will soon be hosting screenings for our upcoming film, The Five Hour Journey. Further details will be announced shortly.
Stay tuned on our social media for the release of the trailer on 18 April.
