BADIL’s participation in the 23rd UN Human Rights Council Session (including videos)
14.06.2013. The 23rd session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) took place from May 27–June 14, 2013 in Geneva. BADIL actively participated in the event and submitted two written and two oral statements. Furthermore, BADIL engaged productively with various stakeholders, official delegations, and numerous international civil society actors.
The recent HRC session was an important opportunity for BADIL to uphold the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and to promote its 2013 advocacy strategy. BADIL primarily focused on Israel’s policy of ongoing forcible displacement and the situation of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli detention.
