1 – 15 May 2003:

Campaign for the COMMEMORATION OF THE 55th ANNIVERSARY of the PALESTINIAN NAKBA on Palestinian Television Stations

(An Initiative of the Palestinian TV Network Ma’an in Cooperation with BADIL Resource Center)

 

Between 1 – 15 May 2003 local TV stations in Palestine, members of the Ma’an Network, will present a series of films documenting the Palestinian Nakba. Films will be broadcast daily starting from 08:00 p.m. by the following TV stations:

Hebron: Al-Amal TV
Bethlehem: Bethlehem TV
Ramallah: Al-Quds Educational TV and Al-Watan TV
Nablus: Nablus TV and Bees
Jericho: Al-Nour TV
Jenin: Farah TV
Qalqilya: Qalqilya TV
Tulkarem: Al-Salam TV

Among the film productions scheduled for presentation are:

‘Yoom Ilak, Yoom Aleik: Refugees from Jerusalem 1948’ (BADIL 1998);
‘Showq al-Sabbar:’ Cactus Thorn: a series about life in West Bank Palestinian refugee camps (BADIL 2000);
‘Experiencing Return:’ Refugee ‘return visits’ to their villages of origin (BADIL 2000);
‘Bayt Jibreen’ (BADIL 1999);
‘The Children of Shatila’ (May Masri)
‘The Dreams of Exile’ (May Masri)
‘Mahmoud Darwish’ (Simon Biton)
