Photo Gallery Kafr Bir'im 2007
Kafr Bir'im had more than 800 residents when it was attacked and ethnically cleansed in late 1948, several months after the establishment of the state of Israel. It is located about 11 kilometres north of the city of Safad. By the early 1950's many of the 196 houses in the village had been destroyed although remains are still clearly evident today including several examples of traditional arabic architecture and the village's church and bell tower.
